The Daily Mail's Audience
Being a conservative daily newspaper focused mostly in Great Britain, The Daily Mail's audience consists of middle aged to elderly white republicans from all class ranges. Yet sometimes they even clash with their own supporters. Just recently Melania Trump, First Lady and wife to Donald Trump who is an avid republican, sued The Daily Mail for $150 million for publishing articles that lied about her past. They result to over-the-top headlines and articles filled with what their readers want to hear and rarely what's true. They often side with politicians and companies with the same views and beliefs and trash anyone else with fake news about sex scandals and criticisms about how those people run their company, campaign, etc. The Daily Mail is also now trying to reach out to a younger audience. It has a set space in Snapchat Discover, a part of Snapchat that allows its users to watch 30 second videos and read articles that change every 24 hours from a set of publishers and companies. The Daily Mail's articles in Snapchat are more tame and family friendly when it comes to some of their notorious articles that have been released in the past.
