Katie Hopkins is a journalist that spends most of her time fighting people on twitter over the articles she writes. Her most recent article was about a girl that died during a school field trip to a theme park. She criticizes the school for allowing the the field trip in the first place saying that, "it was an easy day out for the teachers and a fun trip for the School Committee Mum-Mafia waving their DBS clearance paperwork like they have been specially selected for MI5." She has received major backlash for this article, from supporters, opposition, and everything in between. Her audience in the article is the school that allowed the field trip and places the blame on them and the PTA. She believes that kids shouldn't go on field trips that could interrupt their education, even if the field trip occurs 2 weeks before school ends. Her purpose for writing this article was to attack the school board by guilt tripping them and talk about "The Fear," meaning the want that every parent has for their kids to be safe. Her tone is highly aggressive and remorseless, stating that her heart weeps for the girl's family but only talks about the family for the first paragraph before moving on to scrutinizing the school. Her Twitter (@KTHopkins) has been flooded with tweets bashing her about her latest article and how it was completely unnecessary and a swing and a miss for most. What's surprising is that she replies to them personally with very childish responses. She's constantly picking fights with people on Twitter instead of having real discussions (almost like our actual President).
